A Project Status Report is an optional, periodic snapshot of the project created by the Project Manager about a Running project. It records and displays all the project information as at the snapshot reporting date for Budget, Deliverables, and Risks.

The Status Report has fields to enable quick and easy progress reporting. The Project Manager can enter a summary of what activities have occurred in the previous period, planned activities for the current period, and current issues that require attention.

The Status Report can be used to summarize progress to the customer, and it's a handy discussion aid if you periodically meet to review all your projects. You can quickly process each project without lengthy discussion and zero in on projects that need attention.
